Dusheti Project - Ongoing
The city of Dusheti is located in the Dusheti Basin, on both banks of the Dushetiskhevi River. It is 33 km from the railway station Mtskheta, 50 km from Tbilisi, at an altitude of 900 m above sea level. Different climates are formed in different zones of the Dusheti municipality. In the relatively low zone, the climate is moderately humid, winter is moderately cold, and summer is relatively warm and long. At an altitude of 870-900 m, the average annual air temperature is 9.7 °C, and the average annual precipitation is 740 mm. The climate becomes harsher with altitude. In the high zone, a high mountain humid climate is formed, with permanent snow and glaciers; the amount of precipitation reaches 1200-1600 mm.
The contracting party of the mentioned project is the United Water Supply Company of Georgia (UWSG). The mentioned company was established by the order of the Minister of Economic Development of Georgia N 11/13, within the framework of the Trade Law of Georgia, 2010 January 14.
The above-mentioned state tender envisages the design and construction of the optimization of the water supply system of the city of Dusheti, which will be implemented in 2 stages:
- Preparation of a detailed project for the optimization of the water supply system of the city of Dusheti;
- Implementation of construction works based on the detailed project.
Stage I: Detailed Project for Optimization of the Water Supply System
The technical components of the detailed project to be implemented include the following:
- Water supply networks, mains, headworks (with appropriate flow metering and transmission systems, in case of wells, taking into account a spare well), pumping station (in case of high performance and diameters [DN≥250mm], electric valves with appropriate automatic control system should be considered), disinfection systems (chlorination – dosing, mixing and appropriate safety systems), reservoir (with a sluice chamber, all necessary shut-off and regulating valves and flowmeter), pressure tower (if necessary), house connections, internal and external wiring of buildings, individual metering of the population (with insulation if necessary), automatic control Detailed design of the system with all related facilities (crossing of railways, roads, ravines, rivers and other natural or artificial obstacles, restoration of existing treated road surface, DMA water meters and pressure relief (PRV) chambers, etc.);
- Preparation of specifications and cost estimates;
- Preparation of both total and individual (village; city; town; settlement, etc.) bills of quantities;
- Preparation of a project for sanitary protection zones in accordance with the Decree of the Government of Georgia No. 161 of March 26, 2019 and sanitary rules and norms (SanPiN 2.1.4.027-95);
- Preparation of a construction organization project and the corresponding plan-schedule. (must be submitted upon submission of the final project);
- Preparation of as-built drawings after completion of the work in accordance with the Customer’s instructions.
Stage II: Execution of construction works based on the approved detailed project.
